Max "The Saxman" Lucas has played and recorded with Charlie Parker and Thelonious Monk, Count Basie and the Duke Ellington Orchestra, under the direction of Mercer Ellington. Keyboardist Wayne Holmes can be heard here on a tune Wayne Raglan composed especially for him entitiled Mr. Holmes and Chy's Revenge (composed by Wayne Raglan and trumpet and flugelhorn player Sharif Kales); Bassist Alex Lane graduated from Wayne's alma mater Queens College in Flushing, New York (as well as Jerry Seinfeld, Alan Hevesi and Paul Simon); and Michael Dawson plays percussion on many (if not all) of the tunes presented on this site.
