(12-String Version, i.e. as played on a 12-String guitar -
I've never heard it done this way before, and as you probably know,
anything I've never heard I'm going to try!)
I am a huge fan of Bossa Nova and Jobim (the composer of Corcovado and many other Bossa tunes; Jobim is one of my favorites as the material is so well suited for guitar.) I hope to record a large number of material such as this. However, my real "problem" is in deciding which instrument best interprets the piece under consideration. {Theoretically, only one instrument interprets a piece "best".} However, the 12-String Acoustic (used for this version of Corcovado) was applied because I've never heard it done before ("never heard it done before" is a mantra of mine.) I expect to record Corcovado again later, using a different guitar. The classical guitar was my first "obvious" choice. Hey, ..always open to new ideas!
