The Candlestick Maker is a small performance space in Chicago that is the home of composer/percussionist Michael Zerang. Intimate concerts of experimental, free jazz, electronic, and other forms of creative, forward-thinking music take place on a regular basis. The Elbo Room prides itself on presenting diverse live shows seven nights a week. Numerous bands, such as The Mighty Blue Kings and Liquid Soul have launched their careers at the Elbo Room.
